Specialty cruises

Our neighbor refuses to cruise.

Its all about eating, getting fat and being trapped at sea with lots of strangers, she says.

Not necessarily so, though you can chow down if you wish. But beyond that, it can be a feast for the soul too. Theme cruises make it possible to sail with like-minded folks who share your passion for, well, nearly anything, immersing yourself in camaraderie, learning, workshops and fun, often accompanied by top-notch lecturers. The gamut of themes runs from ballroom dancing, baseball, jazz, gardening, quilting and culinary cruises to nude cruises and cougar adventures for older women in search of younger men.

Thermaltake teases BMW-designed Level 10 M gaming mouse

Thermaltake managed to turn a few heads and upset a few wallets when it released its rather unique Level 10 case, designed by BMW Group Designworks USA using a set of compartments for your hardware. Now the duo is back collaborating on another unconventional-looking PC peripheral blessed with the Level 10 brand name.

The Level 10 M mouse features a hollowed-out body that immediately makes it stand out from the current crop of gaming mice. Keep working with neighbours, Friel says

Mayor Chris Friel ended his annual address for 2011 by stating the obvious– hes happy to be back in the job after his seven-year absence.

Friel read from point-form notes to a packed council chambers Monday night that included four previous Brantford mayors, MP Phil McColeman and members of the Friel family. He kept his remarks lighthearted, focused on what he sees as the positive and not dwelling on the negatives.

A theme running through his remarks was the need for members of council and council as a whole to become champions for the city as it works to build better relationships with its neighbours in Six Nations and the County of Brant.

For economic development...

GOP Monetary Madness

Apparently the desperate search of Republicans for someone they can nominate not named Willard M. Romney continues. New polls suggest that in Iowa, at least, we have already passed peak Gingrich. Next up: Representative Ron Paul.

In a way, that makes sense. Mr. Romney isn’t trusted because he’s seen as someone who cynically takes whatever positions he thinks will advance his career — a charge that sticks because it’s true. Mr. Paul,...
