Horseshoe Metals substantial shareholder exercises options early

Horseshoe Metals(ASX: HOR) substantial shareholder Azure Capital Investments has increased its stake to 7.9% after exercising 641,666 options ahead of the 30 June 2012 expiry.

Azure exercised the options at A$0.20 each, for a consideration of $128,333.

In doing so, the company now holds about 4.6 million shares inHorseshoe Metals.

Horseshoe Metalshas begun a major drilling campaign at its Horseshoe Lights Copper-Gold Project, with holes up to 450 metres depth planned in the first phase.

The diamond drilling program comprises 1,500 metres across four deep drill holes, with additional holes planned subject to the results of the initial holes.

2 raccoons in DE test positive for rabies

Two rabid raccoons have been found – one in Frederica and one in Frankford.  The Division of Public Health says that the raccoons were tested after they came in contact with residents’ dogs – no humans were affected.  Health officials remind you that as the weather warms and we spend more time outside – our risk of exposure to rabid animals increases.  Any wild animal should be regarded as rabid and you should be sure your pets rabies vaccinations are up to date.   Last year there were 6 confirmed cases of rabies in Delaware.

Police to give new motorcycle rider skills test

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTW) Kentuckians wanting to get a motorcycle operators license will face a new rider skills test starting next week.

The Kentucky State Police Driver Testing Branch will start using the new test on May 1.

State police say the new test was developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Its designed to better determine if operators possess sufficient safety skills for riding motorcycles in traffic.

The new test expands Kentuckys current motorcycle skill test from two to four exercises. The exercises include left turn/normal stop; cone weave/right turn from a stop; quick stop and obstacle swerve.
